  • Learning the how and why in conjunction to the FMS optimal. Quality instruction = learning it properly in the first place so I don't have to unravel old habits. Leave styling for later once FMS learned!

  • Trying to complete the FMS inventory was an eye-opener. Seeing all the skills broken down, (there are soooo many) I realized there were so many areas where I could not even vaguely recall having been given specific instruction or drills to practice skills. That is not to say it wasn't introduced in lessons or workshops, but consistent practice to get it into my longterm memory has not occurred. I also recognize that I am often trying to replicate a movement without a physical understanding of how to do that. I am looking forward to consistent guided practice to become a more capable dancer.
