  • As a dancer and dance teacher, I stand in awe of how organized, comprehensive, and relevant the Swing Literacy content is. Myles and Tessa have created so much wonderful content over the years and here it is presented in a progressive, well-organized package for learning, review, and reference. They provide the tools for exponentially progressing one's dance for less than the typical cost of a single WCS convention. My favorite is their concept of breaking out of pattern-centric habits and thinking by showing how all patterns are made up of simpler, more fundamental "lego blocks" that can be assembled on-the-fly to create true, fine-grained improvisational dance. Best of all M&T give you drills to get these skills into your body so that they bubble easily to the surface when you need them.

  • Hmmmmm I'm still really wanting to support the community and on the way of improving my attitude with lower level dancers I'm dancing with.
In the beginning I'd struggle a lot with lower level dancers because I think I didn't have the compensation skill and I would have an attitude that I'd want a great dance from my partner…
I'm trying to work on both with the idea that in the end I will have a better time for myself
